Off-Broadway News Neil Patrick Harris, Jane Krakowski Join Robert O'Hara's Sh*t. Meet. Fan. Off-Broadway

The world premiere begins in October via MCC Theater.

Neil Patrick Harris and Jane Krakowski

Tony winners Neil Patrick Harris and Jane Krakowski have joined the already starry cast of MCC Theater's upcoming world premiere of Robert O'Hara's Shit. Meet. Fan.

O'Hara is directing his own work, based on the Paolo Genovese-penned film Perfect Strangers, with performances set to begin October 10 at the Off-Broadway company ahead of an October 28 opening night. The limited run will continue through November 17, playing the company's Newman Mills Theater.

Harris and Krakowski join previously announced cast members Garret Dillahunt (Hand of God), Genevieve Hannelius (Along for the Ride), Tony nominee Billy Magnussen (Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike), Emmy winner Debra Messing (Will and Grace), Tramell Tillman (Good Night, Oscar), and Golden Globe nominee Constance Wu (Crazy Rich Asians).

In the upcoming play, which unfolds in real time, every text, every email, every call must be shared aloud. That’s what a group of long-time friends gather to play on the night of the eclipse. With the cocktails flowing, outrageous secrets and skeletons begin to emerge. The original film, released in 2016, has been remade extensively, with separate, international adaptations released in Greece, Spain, Turkey, France, South Korea, Hungary, Mexico, China, Russia, Armenia, Poland, Germany, and many other countries.

Shit. Meet. Fan. will also feature scenic design by Tony winner Clint Ramos, costume design by Tony nominee Sarafina Bush, lighting design by Alex Jainchill, and sound design by Tony nominee Palmer Hefferan. Imani Champion is the production stage manager. Casting is by The Telsey Office.

The limited engagement is produced in association with Eva Price, Simon Horsman, and Gianni Nunnari.
