News Musical Theatre West's South Pacific Casts Its Nellie Forbush, Emile DeBecque, Lt. Joseph Cable, Bloody Mary and More Principal casting has been announced for Musical Theatre West's upcoming production of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s South Pacific, which will play the Long Beach, CA, venue Feb. 13-March 1.

Directed and choreographed by Joe Langworth, the limited engagement will also have musical direction by Dennis Castellano.

The cast will be headed by Alessa Neeck as Ensign Nellie Forbush, Christopher Carl as Emile DeBecque, Patrick Cummings as Lt. Joseph Cable, Jodi Kimura as Bloody Mary and Cailan Rose as Liat.

The production will have lighting design by Paul Black and costume design by Karen St. Pierre.

Based on James A. Michener's Pulitzer Prize-winning 1947 book "Tales of the South Pacific," the musical features the music of Richard Rodgers, the lyrics of Oscar Hammerstein II and a book by Oscar Hammerstein II and Joshua Logan.
