Premieres NYC's New York premiere of Los Otros, a one-act musical with a book and lyrics by Tony nominee Ellen Fitzhugh (Grind, Paradise Found) and music by five-time Tony nominee Michael John LaChiusa (The Wild Party, Giant), completes its limited run at A.R.T./New York Theatres-Mezzanine Theatre October 8. The production began August 25 and opened August 31. Read reviews here.

The semi-autobiographical production stars Luba Mason (Girl From the North Country) and Caesar Samayoa (Come From Away) as two Californians who, while exploring significant moments in their lives, discover they are linked in unexpected ways.

Noah Himmelstein (The Lucky Star; I Am Harvey Milk) directs the New York premiere, which features musical direction by J. Oconer Navarro (Caroline, or Change), orchestrations by Bruce Coughlin, scenic design by Junghyun Georgia Lee, costume design by Alejo Vietti, lighting design by Adam Honoré, and sound design by Ken Travis. Robert Bennett is production stage manager. The run is produced and general managed by Joey Monda of Dailey-Monda Management, and produced by Paulette Haupt and Mary J. Davis.

Los Otros made its East Coast premiere in 2017 under Himmelstein’s direction at Everyman Theatre in Baltimore, following a 2012 Los Angeles premiere under the direction of Graciela Daniele (Ragtime, Once On This Island).
