Two-time Tony winner Michael Cerveris, a native of Huntington, WV, has organized concerts to benefit those affected by the June flooding in West Virginia, where 24 individuals lost their lives.

Entitled Take Me Home — A Concert for West Virginia, concerts are offered August 21 at 7 PM and 9:30 PM at Joe's Pub, 425 Lafayette.

Fun Home's Cerveris is joined by his band Loose Cattle, Laura Cantrell, Nellie McKay, Anders Parker, Suzzy Roche and Lucy Wainwright Roche as well as West Virginia artists Todd Burge, Tyler Childers, Larry Groce, Ona, The Carpenter Ants and Deni Bonet with special readings recorded by author Scott McClanahan and live drawings created and auctioned by Michael Arthur.

There is a $25 cover charge. Proceeds and donations all go directly to WV Red Cross Flood Recovery Fund. Click here for ticket information. The concert will also be live-streamed on the Joe's Pub YouTube page.

Cerveris previously reached out to his band, Loose Cattle, and in 17 hours recorded, filmed, mixed and edited a video cover of the Bottle Rockets' “Get Down River” as a contribution to a quickly organized local telethon, which raised $325,000 for the WV Red Cross.
