Tony nominee Melissa Errico will return to the famed Birdland Jazz Club later this month for a special Valentine's weekend celebration: called A Noir Romance, the nine show engagement is based on her album Out of the Dark, centering on songs of doomed love and seductively smokey nightclubs.
Errico will be joined by the Tedd Firth Quintet, and guitarist Russell Malone for selections from Harold Arlen, Michel Legrand, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Stephen Sondheim, and many more. The lineup will also include songs written personally for Errico by David Shire, Peter Foley, and Adam Guettel.
A Noir Romance will begin performances February 10, and play through February 14, with multiple shows per day.
