Broadway favorite and Tony nominee Melissa Errico will lead The Story of a Rose: A Musical Reverie on the Great War for one night only at New World Stages on January 13. Errico has penned the "lyrical theatrical experience" that weaves together music, history, and storytelling to reflect on the human cost of WWI.
The event will be presented in partnership with The Doughboy Foundation, which educates the public about the American experience in the Great War through school-based educator programs, a performance series, and the sounding of "Taps" daily at the National WW1 Memorial.
"This evening is about remembrance, reflection, and honoring the voices of those who lived through the Great War. It’s a privilege to share this piece in partnership with The Doughboy Foundation," said Errico in a statement.
