Zombies and theatre may not seem like they go together, but Meg Donnelly would beg to differ. Longtime Zombies lead Donnelly is currently playing Satine in Moulin Rouge! The Musical on Broadway. To prepare for her Broadway debut, she sought advice from Zombies costar Milo Manheim, who played Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors last year.
"Him coming to [Moulin Rouge!] was so incredible. We always support each other in everything that we do," says Donnelly, before adding that she's struggled with proper vocal rest in between shows, and Manheim told her that the key was "not talking in between shows." Donnelly will play Satine at the Hirschfeld Theatre until March 1. In addition to her stage and screen work, Donnelly is also making waves as a musician. Her latest EP is titled dying art.
