In-development Erasure (comprising Vince Clarke and Andy Bell) jukebox musical Oh l'amour has found casting for a December workshop of the work being held at University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma. Hunter Bird (The Pansy Craze) is directing, with Dominic Fallacaro (& Juliet) serving as music supervisor.

The cast will include David Prengler as Gabriel/Connie, Bryce Williams as Bobby, Jonah Taylor as Sam, Joshua Faggion as Beau, and Sofia Macaluso as Savannah, along with Noah Bleasdell, Allison Crowe, Jackson Dunlap, Carlos Garza, Jayson Gorton, Sophia Leune, Jonah Mirkovich, Myranda Sanchez, Addie Skillman, Myles Sturns-Thomas, Corrine Thomas, and Anastasia White.

Paul Christman is serving as the workshop's music director.

The work looks to bring an original story to the song catalogue of the British synth-pop band, with a book by Paul Lavoie and featuring some of the duo's chart-topping songs, including "A Little Respect," "Always," "Chains of Love," and "Oh l'amour." The story follows a college student who finds himself in the chaos of 1987 San Francisco, beginning a journey of self-discovery and survival against the backdrop of the AIDS epidemic.

Tanninger Entertainment is producing the project, in partnership with Sony Music Publishing. Nick Demos is serving as creative producer.

"I have been staggered by Paul Lavoie’s tenacity, force of will, and dogged determination, which is exactly what a production of this caliber requires, and I am thrilled that Tanninger Entertainment has had the foresight and courage to invest in his vision," said Bell in an earlier statement. "This is not a jukebox musical. The way the story intertwines with such sensitivity and power is like experiencing a living tapestry of song, sound, and vision, and I cannot wait to see it on stage. I am thrilled to be working with Tanninger Entertainment on Oh l'amour - The Erasure Musical, and I'm very much looking forward to working with them to bring the show to the stage.”
