Off-Broadway News Martyna Majok’s queens Opens Off-Broadway The moving new drama looks at the sacrifices made by two generations of immigrant women living in New York City.

The LCT3/Lincoln Center Theater production of queens, the newest work by Ironbound and Cost of Living playwright Martyna Majok, celebrates its official opening March 5. The new play tells the stories of two generations of immigrant women living in a basement apartment in Queens, and looks at the choices they've made regarding their security, dignity, and desires.

Majok’s queens is directed by Danya Taymor and is playing in the Claire Tow Theater, where it is scheduled to continue through March 25. Previews began February 14.

The cast is made up of Jessica Love, Nadine Malouf, Ana Reeder, Andrea Syglowski, Zuzanna Szadkowski, Sarah Tolan-Mee, and Nicole Villamil.

The production features sets by Laura Jellinek, costumes by Kaye Voyce, lighting by Matt Frey, and sound by Stowe Nelson.
