Three-time Tony nominee and Emmy winner Martha Plimpton will play Tracey in the U.K. premiere of Sweat. The Lynn Nottage Pulitzer Prize winner about America’s eroding working class, which debuted on Broadway in a Tony-nominated 2017 production, will be produced at the Donmar Warehouse, directed by Lynette Linton.
Also joining the cast are Leanne Best (Jessie), Patrick Gibson (Jason), Osy Ikhile (Chris), Wil Johnson (Brucie), Stuart McQuarrie (Stan), Clare Perkins (Cynthia), Martha Plimpton, Sule Rimi (Evan), and Sebastian Viveros (Oscar). With the exception of McQuarrie, this will mark the actors' Donmar Warehouse debuts.

With an opening night set for December 19, Sweat is scheduled to run through January 26 at the Donmar Warehouse. The creative team includes designer Frankie Bradshaw, lighting designer Oliver Fenwick, sound designer and composer George Dennis, movement director Polly Bennett, fight director Kate Waters, and casting director Amy Ball CDG.
