The Donmar Warehouse’s production of Sweat, starring three-time Tony nominee and Emmy winner Martha Plimpton, is set to begin performances in the London December 7 ahead of a December 19 opening. The Pulitzer Prize-winning play from Lynn Nottage about America’s eroding working class is directed by Lynette Linton.

Plimpton, playing Tracey, is joined by Leanne Best (Jessie), Patrick Gibson (Jason), Osy Ikhile (Chris), Wil Johnson (Brucie), Stuart McQuarrie (Stan), Clare Perkins (Cynthia), Sule Rimi (Evan), and Sebastian Viveros (Oscar). With the exception of McQuarrie, this will mark the actors' Donmar Warehouse debuts.
Sweat is scheduled to run through January 26. The creative team includes designer Frankie Bradshaw, lighting designer Oliver Fenwick, sound designer and composer George Dennis, movement director Polly Bennett, fight director Kate Waters, and casting director Amy Ball CDG.
