Gingold Theatrical Group has found a cast for its upcoming Off-Broadway revival of George Bernard Shaw's Pygmalion, set to begin October 22 at Theatre Row's Theatre 5. Opening night will be November 2, with performances continuing through November 22. Artistic Director David Staller has penned the adaptation and will be at the helm.

Synnøve Karlsen (Medici) will star as Eliza Doolittle, making her New York theatrical debut opposite Mark Evans (Waitress) as Henry Higgins, Carson Elrod (Peter and the Starcatcher) as Pickering, Teresa Avia Lim (Eureka Day) as Clara and Mary, Lizan Mitchell (Ohio State Murders) as Mrs. Pearce and Mrs. Higgins, and Matt Wolpe (Rock of Ages) as Freddy and Alfred Doolittle. Casting is by Geoff Josselson.

The play, which later inspired the musical My Fair Lady, centers on linguist Henry Higgins' attempt to pass off cockney flower seller Eliza as an upper-class society woman. The work premiered in Vienna in 1913, and in English the following year in London's West End.

Gingold's revival will feature scenic design by Lindsay Genevieve Fuori, costume design by Tracy Christensen, lighting design by Jamie Roderick, prop design by Seth Tyler Black, and sound design by Julian Evans. Aurora Productions will be production manager.

Tickets are at BFANY.org.
