Additional casting has been announced for Vassar and New York Stage and Film’s upcoming Powerhouse season, including a handful of Broadway favorites in Stephen Trask, Peter Yanowitz, and Rick Elice’s new musical This Ain’t No Disco.

The workshop presentation, directed by Trip Cullman, will feature Adam Chanler-Berat (Amélie) and Significant Other duo Rebecca Naomi Jones and Lindsay Mendez, as well as Krystine Alabado, Ryan Cassata, Will Connelly, Chris Dwan, Antwayn Hopper, Jahi Kearse, Jo Lampert, Carson McCalley, and Samantha Marie Ware. Performances will run June 30–July 2 at the Poughkeepsie, New York venue.
Lily Rabe will star in her longtime boyfriend Hamish Linklater's new play, Paris, Actors, as part of the June 24–25 Readings Festival. Leigh Silverman will direct a cast that also includes Lucinda Linklater, as well as Rabe’s brother Michael Rabe, Linus Roache, Marc Kudisch, Craig Biergko, Danielle Davenport, Lilly Englert, Matthew Rauch, and Noah Robbins.
William Kennedy and Jodi Markell’s Ironweed will feature Jessica Hecht, Carol Kane, Kathryn Erbe, Jason Butler Harner, Kristen Bush, Neil D’Astolfo, Alex Esola, Gibson Frazier, Peter Gerety, Ken Marks, Chris McGarry, and David Rysdahl. The Jodie Markell-helmed reading will take place June 24.
Dan Finnerty and Julie Foldesi will perform in a June 25 reading of Little Orphan Danny, featuring book, music, and lyrics by Dan Finnerty with additional music by Dan Lipton. Sean Daniels will direct.
The Readings Festival also includes Kid Prince and Pablo, by Brian Quijada and with original music by Marvin Quijada. Directed by Pironne Yousefzadeh, the June 24 presentation will feature both Brian and Marvin, as well as Shannon Matesky, Christina Nieves, and Krystal Ortiz.
The new institution will honor multiple honorees, with separate dimmings reserved for those a committee designates as having had a significant and lasting impact on Broadway.
