When the North American tour of Cameron Mackintosh’s production of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg’s Les Misérables arrives at Clowes Memorial Hall November 4 in Indianapolis, Indiana, Preston Truman Boyd will return to the role of Inspector Javert.
Broadway vet Boyd has been seen on the Main Stem in Pirates! The Penzance Musical; Kiss Me, Kate; The Play That Goes Wrong; Sunset Boulevard; She Loves Me; On the Twentieth Century; Bullets Over Broadway; and Big Fish. He succeeds Nick Rehberger in the role of the former prison guard.
Nick Cartell continues as the fugitive Jean Valjean, joined by with Lindsay Heather Pearce as Fantine, Matt Crowle as Thénardier, Victoria Huston-Elem as Madame Thénardier, Christian Mark Gibbs as Enjolras, Jaedynn Latter as Éponine, Peter Neureuther as Marius, and Alexa Lopez as Cosette. Lillian Caster and Kayla Scola-Giampapa alternate in the role of Little Cosette/Young Éponine, while Cree-Silver Corley and Rocco Van Auken alternate in the role of Petit Gervais/Gavroche.

Produced by Cameron Mackintosh, this new production premiered in
celebration of the show's 25th anniversary in the U.K., and has since
run in North America, Australia, Japan, Korea, France, and Spain. Along
with this U.S. tour, the production is currently playing London's West
End, a world tour, and Japan. The North American tour ran from 2017 to
March 2020 before being halted due to the global pandemic, re-launching
in 2022.
The long-running musical based on the Victor Hugo novel features music by Schönberg, lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer and original French text by Boublil and Jean-Marc Natel, additional material by James Fenton, and adaptation by Trevor Nunn and John Caird. Orchestrations are by Stephen Metcalfe, Christopher Jahnke, and Stephen Brooker with original orchestrations by John Cameron.
The production is directed by James Powell and Laurence Connor, designed by Matt Kinley (inspired by the paintings of Hugo), with costumes by Andreane Neofitou, additional costume designs by Christine Rowland and Paul Wills, lighting by Paule Constable, sound by Mick Potter, projections realized by Finn Ross, Jonathon Lyle, and Fifty Nine Productions, musical staging by Geoffrey Garratt, music supervision by Stephen Brooker and James Moore, and casting by Tara Rubin Casting.
The associate director is Corey Agnew, the musical staging associate is Jesse Robb, the resident director is Kyle Timson, and music direction is by Glenn Alexander II. The tour stage management team is led by Kenneth J. Davis with Tara Tolar-Payne and John N. Fortunato. The company management team features Chris Danner and Elle Aghabala.
