Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth has been announced as the headline entertainer at Second Stage Theater’s 40th Birthday Gala at the Hammerstein Ballroom on May 6. The star of Broadway’s Wicked, On the Twentieth Century, and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown will offer a special concert performance for the evening's guests.
The gala will begin with cocktails and party games at 6:30 PM, with dinner to follow at 7:30 PM prior to Chenoweth's 9 PM performance.
In recognition of its 40th anniversary, the theatre is honoring 40 actors who have appeared in at least two 2ST productions since its founding. Honorees include Brooke Adams, Kevin Bacon, David Aaron Baker, David Wilson Barnes, Derrick Baskin, Annette Bening, Emily Bergl, Reed Birney, Stephanie J. Block, Tracee Chimo, Liza Colón-Zayas, Quincy Dunn-Baker, Frankie R.
