The new musical An Entirely Ordinary Town will have an invite-only industry presentation September 28. The work features a book and lyrics by Alex Giles and David Russell and music by Andy Peterson. Will Nunziata will direct the presentation, with music direction by Emily Whitaker.
The performance will feature Ari Axelrod, Klea Blackhurst, Todd Buonopane (Chicago), Tyler Joseph Ellis, Troy Iwata (Be More Chill), Maya Lagerstam (The Gospel According to Heather), Mauricio Martínez (On Your Feet), Gabriella Rodriguez, and Lauren Robinson. Mariko Takizawa will provide stage management and LDK Productions will provide general management. The presentation is produced by RPG Productions with co-producer Jason ‘JJ' Jamieson.
The musical follows Jay and Ava as they discover the concept of love in a place where love is banished. When they dive headfirst through a portal to another world to live out their dream, they send ripples back to their old town.
