SiriusXM personality Julie James will host a gala for the New York Theatre Barn, celebrating its 16th anniversary. Planned for November 13, the event will be held at the Museum of Broadway. The evening will honor musical theatre writer Joriah Kwamé and NYTB Managing Director Kate Trammell.
An awards reception will conclude the gala, with honors presented by Zhailon Levingston and Maria Torres. On hand to perform will be American Idol's Alyssa Wray, Kris Carrasco, Jessie MacBeth, and Shafer Gootkind. They will perform material from Kwamé's Little Miss Perfect, Jesse J. Sanchez's Sueños: Our American Musical, Lucier&Rose's Xena: Warrior Musical, and Stephanie Carlin's Spectrum.
Attendees will get private access to the museum's full gallery after closing, including the special exhibit on Broadway and West End sensation SIX: The Musical.
A silent auction, available to everyone regardless of attendance, will offer items including Broadway tickets, luxury vacations, and exclusive merchandise. Listings for the auction are available via GiveButter, where bids can be submitted through 9 PM ET November 13.
Proceeds from the evening will benefit NYTB's work to offer development opportunities for original culture-shifting musicals.
Tickets are available at TicketSpice.
