The four evenings feature the talents of writer Meyer and Broadway singer-actress Judy Blazer. Show times are Jan. 25 and 26 at 10:30 PM and Jan. 28 and 29 at 7 PM. "Heartbreaker," according to press notes, "details [Meyers'] attempt to rescue the entertainer from her demons during the last year of her life. Songwriter Meyer will be playing himself [at the Metropolitan Room] opposite Ms. Blazer." The cabaret shows feature tunes from Garland's repertoire as well as five original songs penned by Meyer.
Judy Blazer played Caroline Neville in the Tony-winning musical Titanic. Her other Broadway credits include Me and My Girl and A Change in the Heir. Off-Broadway, she played the Nurse in Hello Again, earning a Drama Desk nomination for her performance. She received New Jersey's Best Actress Award for her work in The Miracle Worker, and her other regional credits include My Fair Lady and Peter Pan.
