The Public Theater has announced the line-up for the 2016 Spring Public Forum. Now in its sixth year, the series presents two one-night-only performances with conversations led by leading voices in politics, media and the arts.
On May 2 the Public will present Public Forum Drama Club: No Villain, a debut of Arthur Miller’s “lost” play, written when he was a sophomore. The work grapples with issues of labor and society as well as family relationships.
The cast includes Santino Fontana, Judith Light, Peter Friedman, Alessandra Baldacchino, Francois Battiste, Dr. Enoch Brater, Brandon J. Dirden, Santino Fontana, Wendy C. Goldberg, Hugh Kennedy, James Surowiecki, Frank Wood and more.
On May 23 Joe’s Pub at the Public Theater will offer Public Forum: The Sound That Makes the World Go ‘Round. Just in time for the Public’s staging of the new musical from Stew and Heidi Rodewald, Total Bent, the forum will bring together icons of the music industry to discuss the politics of popular music.
