The festival will feature over 50 new plays.

A lineup of new works has been revealed for Chain Theatre's 2024 Summer One-Act Festival. Over 50 new plays will be featured at the hub for new work by established and emerging artists.

Festival highlights include the New York premiere of John Patrick Shanley's mystical comedy Banshee, starring Elizabeth Bays (Simpatico) and Erick Betancourt (Cost of Living). David Zayas Jr. (Simpatico) will direct.

Academy Award nominee Jesse Eisenberg will also co-produce Jeryl Brunner's Catch, alongside Anna Strout and Barbara Toy. Eisenberg and Brunner also collaborated on Dill during the Chain Winter One-Act Festival. 

Finally, Matthew McLachlan will bring two new plays to the Chain: Online Dates Are Hard to Handle, directed by Zayas Jr.; and Who You Are to Me, directed by Lee Zayas. 

The Chain Summer One-Act Festival production team includes Spencer Giles, Uma Rao-Labrecque (Simpatico), Evie Brandford, Stewart Harrison, and Megan Sophie Gore.
