Off-Broadway News Jen Silverman’s Collective Rage: A Play in 5 Betties Extends Off-Broadway Run The New York premiere features a cast including Dana Delany, Lea DeLaria, and Ana Villafañe.

The New York premiere of Collective Rage: A Play in 5 Betties has extended its run. The MCC Theater production will now play through October 7 (instead of the previously announced September 23) at Off-Broadway's Lucille Lortel Theatre.

The play, penned by Jen Silverman and directed by Mike Donahue, began performances August 16 and will officially open September 12. It follows five women—all named Betty—who collide at the intersection of rage, love, and theatre.

The cast is made up of Emmy winner Dana Delany, Obie winner Lea DeLaria, Indecent's Adina Verson, On Your Feet!'s Ana Villafañe, and Fifty Shades of Black's Chaunté Wayans.

The play is titled, in full, Collective Rage: A Play In 5 Betties; In Essence, A Queer And Occasionally Hazardous Exploration; Do You Remember When You Were In Middle School And You Read About Shackleton And How He Explored The Antarctic? Imagine The Antarctic As A Pussy And It’s Sort Of Like That.
