The moment has arrived. The Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Into the Woods, currently running through January 8, 2023, at the St. James Theatre, digitally released its cast album September 30, with a CD release set for December 2 from Concord Theatricals/Craft Recordings. A vinyl release will follow March 17, 2023.

Along with Bareilles, the recording features the original Broadway revival cast, including Brian d'Arcy James as the Baker, Patina Miller as the Witch, Phillipa Soo as Cinderella, Gavin Creel as Cinderella's Prince, Joshua Henry as Rapunzel's Prince, Julia Lester as Little Red Riding Hood, Cole Thompson as Jack, Aymee Garcia as Jack's Mother, David Patrick Kelly as Narrator/Mysterious Man, Annie Golden as Cinderella's Mother/Granny/Giant, Nancy Opel as Cinderella's Stepmother, Ta'Nika Gibson as Lucinda, Albert Guerzon as Cinderella's Father, Brooke Ishibashi as Florinda, Kennedy Kanagawa as Milky White, David Turner as Steward, and Alysia Velez as Rapunzel.
Rounding out the ensemble are understudies Delphi Borich, Felicia Curry, Jason Forbach, Alex Joseph Grayson, Cameron Johnson, Paul Kreppel, Mary Kate Moore, Diane Phelan and Lucia Spina.
Encores! Artistic Director Lear deBessonet directs the production with music direction by Rob Berman and choreography by Lorin Latarro.
Concord Chief Theatricals Executive Sean Patrick Flahaven produced the cast recording with Berman as co-producer, Jordan Roth as executive producer, and deBessonet as associate producer. The album was recorded by Lawrence Manchester, Isaiah Abolin, and Ian Kagey; mixed by Kagey; and mastered by Oscar Zambrano.
