WNET, America's original PBS station and parent company of THIRTEEN and NJTV, held their 2019 Gala at The Plaza in New York City. The April 22 gala honored two-time Tony winner Nathan Lane, opera star and Tony nominee Renée Fleming, philanthropists Jody and John Arnhold of the Arnhold Foundation, Ballet Hispánico artistic director and CEO Eduardo Vilaro, and AMC Networks CEO Josh Sapan.
The evening, hosted by ALL ARTS' "Broadway Sandwich" host Garen Scribner, featured performances by Ballet Hispánico and violinist/pianist duo Charles Yang and Peter Dugan.
The evening is part of a week of performances, social practice demonstrations, classes, and discussions curated by NBT in partnership with The Kennedy Center.
Several members of Prospect Theater Company's 2018 Off-Broadway cast are set to reunite for concert presentations in Washington, D.C. and New York City.
