Lena Hall, a Tony winner for her performance in Hedwig and the Angry Inch, stars in the title role of Becks, a new film about a musician who, after a sudden breakup, moves back in with her mom (played by Christine Lahti). The film celebrated its official New York premiere February 5 at the Alamo Drafthouse and will be released in theatres February 9.
Appearing alongside Hall and Lahti is Tony winner Dan Fogler (25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Mena Suvari, Hayley Kiyoko, and Sas Goldberg (Significant Other).
The film played the festival circuit this past summer, screening at the Los Angeles Film Festival, Frameline, and Outfest. Its commercial release to select theatres will be accompanied by a VOD release, also on on February 9.
