To celebrate Black History Month, the hit Off-Broadway production of Little Shop of Horrors commissioned Davida Enara, a local Black artist, to create a custom Little Shop-inspired backdrop. Photographer Marcus Middleton captured members of the company in front of this design.
The photos feature not only the Black artists in the show but also employees at the Westside Theatre, including Laura Temples, who is the assistant box-office treasurer, and Ya'ShaNikquia Delaney, who is the producing and general managing assistant.
Throughout the month, the production will also share videos of cast members who spotlight a Black creative they believe deserves more attention.
Check out the photos, which also include portraits of Joy Woods, Christian McQueen, Morgan Ashley Bryant, Chani Maisonet, Christine Wanda, Aveena Sawyer, Savannah Lee Birdsong, Mecca Hicks, Noel MacNeal, and Alloria Frayser, in the gallery below.
