Inside Playbill's Groovy, Queer Big Broadway Disco VIP After Party

Playbill closed out our Pride in Times Square event, which saw stage and screen stars come together with Broadway shows, LGBTQIA+ non-profits, and more in Times Square for a no-holds-barred celebration of Pride, with the dance party to end all dance parties: The Big Broadway Disco. After the Times Square portion, Playbill invited a host of VIP Broadway favorites to keep the festivities going with a special VIP After Party and Sony Hall.

Anthony Wayne (Tina - The Tina Turner Musical), Andrew Keenan-Bolger (Newsies), Ari Groover (Tina - The Tina Turner Musical), Todrick Hall, Mykal Kilgore, and J Harrison Ghee (Mrs. Doubtfire, Some Like it Hot) were just a few of the Broadway vets who got their groove—and pride—on at the event, which featured a dance floor, a DJ with a long playlist of funkadelic Broadway disco remixes, and beverages sponsored by Butterfly Cannon Tequila, Starlino Aperitivos, Jack’s Abby Craft Lagers, Springdale Beer Company, Shacksbury Ciders, and Q Mixers.

And as is true of most Playbill events, The Big Broadway Disco VIP After Party also featured a stage where attendees were entertained with special performances from Kilgore, dancers from Broadway Bares: XXX, Ghee, and more.
