Karen Ann Daniels
Director of the Mobile Unit, Public Theater (New York, NY)
Transferring from the Old Globe in San Diego, Daniels will be responsible for bringing theatre and arts culture to community centers and spaces around New York City. 2019-2020 Mobile Unit productions have yet to be announced, but previous shows include The Tempest, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Hamlet, and Romeo & Juliet.
Cynthia Rider,
Managing Director, Hartford Stage (Hartford, CT)
Moving east from Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Ride joins the New England venue’s evolving team after Melissa Bensussen was named artistic director in January. “I can't imagine a better collaborator for this next era in Hartford Stage’s history and can't wait to start our work together in the coming months,” said Bensussen.
Brisa Trinchero
CEO, Princess Grace Foundation (New York, NY)
The two-time Tony-winning producer (Pippin, The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess) joins the non-profit artistic foundation, named after the Princess Grace Kelly of Monaco.
Cassie Greer
Artistic Director, Bag&Baggage Productions (Hillsboro, OR)
After working at the Oregon theatre since 2011, Greer is promoted to a leadership role. The actor and director will develop support streams and oversee B&B’s Emerging Artist and PASSPORT Programs. “While there’s no way I will ever be [former Artistic Director] Scott Palmer (or want to be!), I do have the advantage of having worked with him in a variety of capacities over the past eight years—experience that has, more or less, amounted to a personal masterclass in artistic leadership, Bag&Baggage style,” said Greer.
Rebecca Hewett
Executive Director, Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (New York, NY)
Hewett joins the SDCF after acting as senior program associate at The Shubert Foundation since 2014. “Her demonstrated commitment to the field combined with her connection to a diverse pipeline of emerging talent and extensive experience in philanthropy will help expand opportunities for many emerging artists,” said SDCF President Sheldon Epps.
Meghan Pressman
Managing Director/CEO, Center Theatre Group (Los Angeles, CA)
After five years as the Managing Director Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company in Washington, D.C., Pressman moves to L.A. to run CTG. “With Meghan’s deep roots in theatre, and her solid business training and fundraising experience, we are confident that she is the perfect individual to enhance Center Theatre Group,” said Board President Kiki Ramos Gindler.
