Idina Menzel's latest album, initially set to drop October 5, has pushed back its release date. The two-disc idina:live will now be available October 12.
The album of live recordings, captured during the final nights of her 2017 world tour, coincides with the Tony winner's fall arena tour with Tony nominee Josh Groban, kicking off October 18 in Duluth, Georgia.
The track list includes some Menzel originals (such as her single "Queen of Swords"), tunes she's made famous on the stage and screen ("Defying Gravity," "Let It Go,"), and a studio version of Simon and Garfunkel’s “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” recorded in New Orleans during her 2017 tour. The physical album will also feature various photos and art from Menzel’s tours. The Wicked, Rent, and If/Then star, who recently appeared Off-Broadway in Joshua Harmon's Skintight, has previously released five studio albums—Still I Can’t Be Still, Here, I Stand, Holiday Wishes, and, most recently, the self-titled Idina. She also released the live album Barefoot at the Symphony in 2012.
