News Hunter Foster, Eddie Clendening, Robert Britton Lyons Will Appear at Open House for Virginia's Signature Theatre Broadway stars will appear July 23 at Signature Theatre's annual Target Open House, offering a sneak peek at the Tony Award-winning Virginia company's 2011-12 season.

Free and open to the public, this special event runs noon–10 PM. Performances, demonstrations, exhibits, kids' activities, classes, a "concert on the plaza" and the return of the popular "Signature Idol Competition" are part of the experience.

Judges of the "Idol" singing competition include Broadway star Hunter Foster (Urinetown, Million Dollar Quartet), national radio host Robert Aubry Davis and Signature's artistic director Eric Schaeffer.

The Target Open House is held throughout the Signature complex and on the Plaza in front of the venue in the Shirlington Village area of Arlington, VA. Featured artists who will be performing include Eddie Clendening and Robert Britton Lyons (of Broadway's Million Dollar Quartet, which Schaeffer directed).

Also expect "exclusive sneak-peek performances from Signature’s upcoming 2011-12 season," a slate that includes Hairspray, God of Carnage, Xanadu, The Hollow, The Boy Detective Fails, Brother Russia, Really Really, A Second Chance and Sweet Tea: Black Gay Men of the South.

Patrons will get their first opportunity to take advantage of half-price tickets for select performances on mainstage shows throughout the new season. Subscription discounts (starting with three or more shows) will also be offered throughout the day.
