Goodspeed Musicals' 2026 season at The Goodspeed in East Haddam, Connecticut, will launch April 17, 2026, with Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's rock musical Jesus Christ Superstar.

Directed by Tatiana Pandiani with music direction by Adam Souza, performances will continue through June 7. The Gershwin musical Crazy for You, featuring a book by Ken Ludwig, will follow, running June 19-August 9. Michael Fling will direct with choreography by Kelli Barclay and music direction by Souza.

From August 28-October 18, Goodspeed audiences will have the chance to catch the world premiere of the new musical The Snow Goose. Based on the novel by Paul Gallico, Scott Gilmour and Claire McKenzie's musical will feature direction by Marshall Pailet, choreography by Misha Shields, and music direction by Souza. Set on the coast of England as World War II is looming, The Snow Goose follows the unlikely bond formed between Philip, a reclusive artist shunned by society, and Frith, a resilient orphan girl, when they rescue a wounded snow goose.

The 2026 season will conclude with the 50th anniversary production of Annie, which premiered pre-Broadway at The Goodspeed in 1976. The Tony-winning Thomas Meehan-Charles Strouse-Martin Charnin musical will return to the Connecticut venue October 30-December 27. Jenn Thompson will direct the family-friendly production with choreography by Patti Wilcox and music direction by Souza.

Casting and additional creative team members will be announced at a later date.

Goodspeed Artistic Director Donna Lynn Hilton said in a statement, “Following up on our thrilling 2025 season, 2026 is shaping up to be particularly special. The season will showcase creative talent—familiar and new—with productions that speak to audiences across the spectrum of musical theatre lovers. I am particularly excited that our first GoodWorks commission makes its world premiere on The Goodspeed stage and that my longtime associate Michael Fling will make his Goodspeed directing debut. In addition, a rock musical that helped define a generation of theatre lovers is produced at Goodspeed for the first time, and our beautiful little orphan comes home for her 50th anniversary. Once again we will prove that Goodspeed is Connecticut’s home for musical theatre.”
