The cast is now complete for the upcoming Broadway premiere of The Prom, a new musical by Matthew Sklar, Chad Beguelin, and Bob Martin.
As previously reported, the comedy will star Tony winner Beth Leavel, Tony nominees Brooks Ashmanskas and Christopher Sieber, Caitlin Kinnunen, Isabelle McCalla, Michael Potts, Angie Schworer, Courtenay Collins, and Josh Lamon.
Joining the company are ensemble members Mary Antonini, Gabi Campo, Jerusha Cavazos, Shelby Finnie, Josh Franklin, Fernell Hogan, Joomin Hwang, Sheldon Henry, David Josefsberg, Becca Lee, Wayne Mackins, Kate Marilley, Anthony Norman, Drew Redington, Jack Sippel, Teddy Toye, Kalyn West, and Brittany Zeinstra.
Several cast members return to the show after appearing in the 2016 world premiere at Atlanta's Alliance Theatre.
The musical, directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw (who is Tony-nominated this season for directing and choreographing Mean Girls), will begin performances at the Cort Theatre October 21 prior to an official opening November 15.
Set in a small Indiana town, The Prom tells the story of a high school student banned from her prom for wanting to bring her girlfriend. When her story reaches a group of eccentric Broadway actors, the group travels to the community in an earnest (if perhaps misguided) attempt to help fight the injustice.
