Regional News Ford’s Theatre Season Will Include Fences, Silent Sky, Guys and Dolls, More Craig Wallace will star in both Fences and A Christmas Carol at the Washington, D.C., venue.

Ford's Theatre Director Paul R. Tetreault announced the D.C. venue’s 2019–2020 theatrical season, which will kick off September 27 with August Wilson’s Tony- and Pulitzer Prize-winning Fences, directed by Timothy Douglas and starring Craig Wallace and Erika Rose.

The traditional presentation of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, adapted by Michael Wilson, will follow, running November 21-January 21, 2020. The music-filled production will feature Wallace reprising the role of Ebenezer Scrooge.

The new year will launch with Silent Sky, an inspiring drama about trail-blazing female astronomers. Directed by Seema Sueko, performances are scheduled for January 24–February 23. The classic musical comedy Guys and Dolls, directed by Peter Flynn, will conclude the season, March 13–May 20. Dell Howlett will choreograph.

Performances of the Ford's Theatre Society’s actor-led History on Foot walking tours of downtown Washington, D.C., and performances of the one-act play One Destiny will continue in the spring of 2020.
