In this exclusive video, Newsies star Jeremy Jordan chats about his latest role: the voice of Varian in Disney’s Tangled: The Series. The featurette above features footage from the upcoming one-hour episode (airing November 19 on the Disney Channel) and includes a sneak peek at Jordan’s performance of a song by Alan Menken and Glenn Slater titled “Let Me Make You Proud.”
Composer Menken and lyricist Slater have collaborated on a number of Disney titles, including the Broadway musicals The Little Mermaid and, currently running at the Longacre Theatre, A Bronx Tale.
Tangled: The Series reunites the characters from Disney's 2010 animated take on the Rapunzel tale. Other Broadway alums in the show include Wicked favorite Eden Espinosa and the movie's original stars: Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi.
