“I'm bringing this show to 54 Below to pay tribute to some of the iconic songs Stevie Wonder has written over the years that challenge us, as a people, to be better," Harewood said in a statement. "I grew up listening to Motown, the Beatles, jazz, blues, classical… music of all kinds was always playing in our house. But I was most affected and influenced by the music coming out of the Motown record label in Detroit, especially the music of Stevie Wonder, or Little Stevie Wonder as he was known to the public back in 1962. He was 12 years old, and so was I, and I simply couldn’t believe what I was hearing from this genius. I still can’t.”

Harewood has also been seen on Broadway in Two Gentlemen of Verona, Don't Call Back, Streamers, and The Mighty Gents. An NAACP Image Award winner for his work as Clarence "Cool Papa" Charleston in the NBC series I'll Fly Away as well as an Emmy nominee for Hank Aaron: Chasing the Dream, the Ohio native's numerous screen credits also include Roots: The Next Generation, Strike Force, The Jesse Owens Story, Full Metal Jacket, Against All Odds, Sudden Death,12 Angry Men, Viper, The Hoop Life, Private Practice, Boomtown, Las Vegas, Sarah Connor Chronicles, Criminal Minds, 9-1-1, Big Sky, and Bel-Air.
