Bated Breath Theatre Company's world premiere of Mara Lieberman's Dirty Books has been extended through April 30th at Off-Broadway's Bated Breath Theater. The production has now extended performances four times due to popular demand.

Also directed by the playwright, the cast features Sophia Carlin, Alexis Pratt, Melina Rabin, Sammy Rivas, and Grayson Willenbacher with understudies Alaina Bozarth, Frankie Otis, Laura Walter, and Camilo Zuqui.

Dirty Books is described as an immersive production that "plunges audiences into the battles over anti-obscenity laws and censorship in America." Inspired by the true stories of erotic fiction writers of the 1960s and using Supreme Court-inspired transcripts, Dirty Books reveals resilience of artists who thrived in the shadows of America's anti-obscenity laws working in the soft-core adult publishing industry.

The creative team also includes technical director Jacob P.S Lemmenes, set and lighting designer Yung-Hung Sung, sound designer Tojo Rasedoara, costume designer Stephanie Lopez, intimacy coordinator Lauren DeLeon, stage manager Delaney Jordan, and assistant stage manager Victoria Blas.
