Tony winner Daniel Radcliffe has set a Broadway return in Duncan Macmillan and Jonny Donahoe's Every Brilliant Thing. The work, currently making its West End debut after previous hit runs at Edinburgh Fringe and Off-Broadway, will come to Broadway's Hudson Theatre for a 13-week limited engagement beginning February 21, 2026. Opening night will be March 12, and the run will continue through May 24.

Pre-sale tickets will be available beginning November 13 with registration at EveryBrilliantThingBway.com, with general sales beginning November 14.

The solo play debuted at Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where it played three sold-out consecutive summers before coming to Off-Broadway's Barrow Street Theatre in 2014. The latter run was filmed live and aired on HBO with Donahoe starring. The work returned to Edinburgh Fringe in 2024, where it was a Playbill Pick. The work is currently making its West End debut at @sohoplace, and has featured a rotating roster of stars. Minnie Driver is currently closing out the run.

In the work, a nameless protagonist faces a distant father, a suicidal mother, and their own inexplicable deep sadness. And in a spark of childhood genius, they counteract these obstacles by chronicling every brilliant thing in the world—first to cheer up their depressed mother, and later for friends, lovers, and themself. Those things include items ranging from simple pleasures ("ice cream,” “the color yellow”) to the far more specific and detailed ("old people who are kind and don’t smell unusual,” “the even numbered Star Trek films").

"Every Brilliant Thing tackles some serious subject matter, but the overall experience is one of joy and celebration,” says Macmillan in a statement. "Every performance is unique and unpredictable and it requires virtuosic skill from its central performer. When Daniel told us how much he loved the play, I couldn’t have been more thrilled. He has the intelligence, quick-wit and charm to roll with the spontaneous moments that the show invites—he can be a clown one moment, then grab you by the heartstrings the next. He has huge depth and humanity. I can’t wait to get started."

The Broadway bow looks to be a transfer of the current West End iteration. That full creative team is reprising their work on the Main Stem, including directors Jeremy Herrin and Macmillan, scenic and costume designer Vicki Mortimer, lighting designer Jack Knowles, and sound designer Tom Gibbons. Casting is by Jessica Ronane, TT Partners is general managing, and Jhanaë K-C Bonnick will serve as production stage manager.

Second Half Productions, Seaview, and Gavin Kalin Productions are producing.
