Based on a true story about performers in the early-20th-century Follies, Ghostlight has book, music and lyrics by Matthew Martin and Tim Realbuto, who co-directs. The musical will run through Oct. 9 at the Signature Theatre's Peter Norton Space.

Eagan (The Secret Garden, Les Miserables, James Joyce's The Dead) plays Molly Cook, with Hayden (Carousel, Judgment at Nuremburg) as showman Florenz Ziegfeld, Jr. and York (City of Angels, Victor/Victoria, Putting It Together) as his wife Billie Burke, of "Wizard of Oz" and Ziegfeld Follies fame.

The cast also features Rachael Fogle (Little Women) as Olive Thomas; Matt Leisy (The Fantasticks) as Olive's husband, Jack Pickford; and Kimberly Faye Greenberg (One Night With Fanny Brice) as Fanny Brice.

According to the authors, "Ghostlight excavates the true story of Olive Thomas, a small-town girl who rises to headline alongside Fanny Brice in the Ziegfeld Follies. Seduced by the decadent world of the theater, Olive stumbles into a secret affair, an unfulfilling Hollywood marriage, and a downward spiral into drugs and alcohol. An homage to Broadway's Golden Age, Ghostlight captures the glamorous and tragic lives of those who changed the face of the American musical forever."

The production has musical direction by Matt Aument, choreography by Michael Kidney, and scenic and lighting design by David Goldstein.
