Casting has been announced for the Big League Productions Inc. national tour of Benj Pasek and Justin Paul's A Christmas Story, The Musical.
The holiday tour will launch November 9 in Worcester, Massachusetts with engagements to follow in Elmira, New York; Scranton, Pennsylvania; Newport News, Virginia; Hartford, Connecticut; Indianapolis, Indiana; Cincinnati, Ohio; Rochester, New York; Columbia, South Carolina; Charleston, South Carolina; Jackson, Mississippi; and Austin, Texas.
The cast will be headed by Chris Carsten as radio personality Jean Shepherd with Tristan Klaphake and Edward Turner alternating in the role of the young Ralphie Parker. They will be joined by Paul Nobrega as The Old Man, Sara Zoe Budnik as Mother, Evan Christy as little brother Randy, and Angelica Richie as Miss Shields.
The ensemble comprises Emily Blake Anderson, Matthew Brennan, Nic Casaula, Nick Flatto, Brooke Martino, Lauren Moore, Charles Pang, Emily Rhein, Hayden Bercy, Catherine Bradley, Wyatt Oswald, Sam Skalbeck, Levi Smith, Kylie Standley, Ethan Steiner, Owen Tabaka, Meaghan Unger, and Casey Watkins.
A Christmas Story, The Musical, based on the film of the same name and the writings of Shepherd, features a score by Tony and Oscar winners Benj Pasek and Justin Paul (Dear Evan Hansen, La La Land) and a book by Joseph Robinette.
