Submissions are now open for fans to submit artwork inspired by Beetlejuice for a gallery wall outside of the Marquis Theatre. To be considered, art must be submitted no later that 11:59 PM ET March 13.
Selected art works will then be featured on a dedicated wall of the alley outside the Marquis Theatre between 46th and 47th Streets.
Beetlejuice has previously worked with artistic fans, most notable with a competition to feature fan art on the cover of the May 2020 Playbill program. Five finalists were announced from more than 800 submissions for public voting. Angel Q's entry was announced as the winner.
Audiences will return to the Netherworld with the Ghost-with-the-Most with the re-opening of Beetlejuice April 8. Alex Brightman returns to play the title poltergeist newly opposite Elizabeth Teeter as Lydia Deetz. Based on the Tim Burton film about unusual teenager Lydia as she deals with loss and a deal with a demon gone wrong, the Marquis welcomes the show to its stage as its new home. Beetlejuice originally opened April 25, 2019 at the Winter Garden Theatre.
The full cast, announced last month, features Kerry Butler, David Josefsberg, Adam Dannheisser, Leslie Rodriguez Kritzer, Kelvin Moon Loh, Danny Rutigliano, and Dana Steingold returning alongside Brightman.
