Two Broadway musicals are about to cross a major milestone just days apart.

Both Disney's Aladdin and Cameron Mackintosh's revival of Les Misérables notch their 1,000th perfomances in the coming days.

Aladdin, which opened March 20, 2014, at the New Amsterdam Theatre, hits the mark at the Saturday evening show August 6. Next week it will surpass the 1,004-performance run of Newsies to become Disney's fifth-longest running Broadway show, after The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast , Mary Poppins and Aida.

Les Misérables, which opened March 23, 2014, will cross that line Sunday, August 14 at the Imperial Theatre. It has more than doubled the run of the show's 2006 revival, which closed after 463 performances, but it will not get the chance to match the original 1987 run of 6,680 performances. It is scheduled to close September 4.

Another show is hitting an even bigger milestone—ten times bigger. The Las Vegas production of the Off-Broadway hit Blue Man Group will play its 10,000th performance in that city August 9 at the 4 PM show.
