Brand New Day, a concert to benefit Broadway Bound Kids—offering professional-level theatre training and mentorship for students from under-resourced areas—will be held August 1 at 7 PM at the Green Room 42. The evening will also be live streamed.

Taking part in the fundraiser will be Joey Contreras (In Pieces), Emily Afton (Hadestown), Kim Exum (Book of Mormon), Emily Schultheis (Wicked), Katerina McCrimmon (The Rose Tattoo), and Broadway Bound Kids staff member and actor Kelechi Ezie (The Music Man). The music director is Adam Cole Klepper.

The evening will also feature students in the program performing solos, duets, and ensemble numbers with the Broadway performers.

This past year, nine students from the free Broadway Bound Kids programs were accepted into the top performing arts high schools in New York.
