Broadway’s original Tony Award-winning Grizabella in Cats returns to Joe’s Pub at The Public Theater October 12–15 with Story Songs #2, a fresh batch of tunes from her recent album, Story Songs, and elsewhere.
The Story Songs #2 concert will include numbers by Stephen Sondheim, Joni Mitchell, and Lisa Loeb, plus new pieces from Jason Robert Brown, Joe Iconis, and T Bone Burnett. The star of Broadway, TV, and film will be accompanied by a band headed by multiple Grammy-nominated pianist/arranger Christian Jacob, along with guitarist Oz Noy, bassist Tony Marino, and Dan Rieser on drums.

Buckley’s first concert of songs from the album debuted at Joe’s Pub in autumn 2016. Her most recent performance of that program came in July at Bay Street Theatre in Sag Harbor, New York.
In a career going back to the 1960’s Buckley has offered acclaimed performances in Broadway’s Sunset Boulevard, Carrie, Song & Dance, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, 1776, Triumph of Love and Promises, Promises. In addition, she starred on the London stage in Promises, Promises; Dear World; and Sunset Boulevard, earning an Olivier Award nomination for her work in the latter.
