Everyone’s favourite ghost-with-the-most, Beetlejuice, is hopping the pond.
Beetlejuice the Musical will make its West End debut at London’s Prince Edward Theatre in May 2026, with dates to be announced.
Adapted from the cult-favorite 1988 film by book writers Scott Brown (Castle Rock) and Anthony King (Broad City) and songwriter Eddie Perfect (King Kong), Beetlejuice premiered on Broadway in 2019, with direction by Tony winner Alex Timbers (Moulin Rouge!) and choreography by Connor Gallagher.
The show earned eight 2019 Tony Award nominations, including Best Musical. The original run closed during the 2020 pandemic shutdown, but the show returned for a second go at the Marquis Theatre in 2022 before launching the national tour later the same year. International bows have played Tokyo, Seoul, and Melbourne. The first national North American tour of the Tim Burton–inspired musical is set to come to Broadway's Palace Theatre for a 13-week limited engagement beginning October 8.
The London production will feature the same team as the three Broadway engagements, with scenic design by David Korins, costume design by William Ivey Long, lighting design by Kenneth Posner, sound design by Peter Hylenski, projection design by Peter Nigrini, puppet design by Michael Curry, special effect design by Jeremy Chernick, illusion design by Michael Weber, hair and wig design by Charles G. LaPointe, make-up design by Joe Dulude II, dance arrangements by David Dabbon, music production by Matt Stine, music direction by Andy Grobengieser, production stage management by Genevieve Kersh, general management by Bespoke Theatricals, and line producing by Jenny Gersten. Music supervision, orchestrations, and incidental music will be by Kris Kukul (Joan of Arc: Into the Fire) with additional arrangements by Kukul and Perfect.
Information on casting, by Harry Blumenau, will be released at a later date.
Beetlejuice: The Musical is produced in the UK by Crossroads Live and Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures.
