Actionplay, a neurodiverse theatre company based in New York City, has opened applications for their 2023 Free Audition Workshops.
The digital workshops, held on Zoom, are open to actors across North America. Twelve actors will be selected for the free program, with the costs of the workshop underwritten by a grant from NEXT for Autism.
Any actor that identifies as autistic, neurodivergent, or disabled can apply. Led by disabled actors Allie B. Gorrie and Kiah Amara, the workshop is designed to help neurodivergent and disabled actors develop their audition skills, as well as develop a comfortable routine when working with casting directors, with members from the Casting Society of America being present at the final showcase.
Multiple workshops will be held at 7:30 PM on March 30, April 6, April 13, April 20, and April 27.
To apply, fill out this form and submit the application video by March 20. Selected participants will be notified by March 26.
