Three-time Emmy winner Cady McClain (All My Children, As the World Turns, Days of Our Lives) will star in the New York premiere of Beneath the Ice of the Vistula February 12-28 at Manhattan's West End Theater.
Written by Roman Freud and directed by Eduard Tolokonnikov, the production will reunite McLain with her Orson’s Shadow co-star Brad Fryman. The cast will also include Roman Freud and Lev Grzhonko.
In Beneath the Ice, a reclusive Jewish composer and his Polish cook form a volatile bond in the weeks leading up to the Nazi invasion, forcing them to confront art, love, and survival in a world on the brink of collapse.
The production also features original music by Inessa Zaretsky, scenic design by Jenya Shekhter, costume design by Natalia Danilova, sound design by Denis Zabiyaka, lighting design by Hunter Lustberg, and stage management by Karli Fisher.
