Video 'Alexander Hamilton' Becomes 'Axe-Assassin Albertson' in This Hamilton Bad Lip Reading Video

The viral YouTube comedy channel takes on the Tony-winning Lin-Manuel Miranda musical.

There's been no shortage of Hamilton spoofs and parodies in the seven years since the juggernaut hit the Broadway stage. From Muppetesque performances to Weird Al polkas, the popular Tony- and Pulitzer-winning musical from Lin-Manuel Miranda has had its words and tunes twisted in every which way, even spawning an entire Off-Broadway (now touring) show.

And now the viral YouTube channel Bad Lip Reading is in the mix. Launched in 2011, the comedy series uses video clips of political speeches, songs, sports footage, and films, for example, and does what its title implies...overdubs them with a really bad lip reading dialogue. In its latest production, "Alexander Hamilton" becomes "Axe-Assassin Albertson." Don't worry, though—it's LMM approved.

Watch the full video above, featuring several scenes from the 2020 Hamilton film with the musical's original stars Phillipa Soo, Renée Elise Goldsberry, Leslie Odom, Jr., and company.

Hamilton is currently running on Broadway at the Richard Rodgers Theatre.
