News Alan Ayckbourn's Communicating Doors to Be Revived at London's Menier Chocolate Factory London's Menier Chocolate Factory has announced that it will stage the first London revival of Alan Ayckbourn's Communicating Doors, beginning performances May 7 prior to an official opening May 13, for a run through June 27.



Originally premiered at Scarborough's Stephen Joseph Theatre in 1994, it was first seen in London at the West End's Gielgud Theatre the following year. This new production will be directed by Lindsay Posner. 

In the play, a hired dominatrix flees for her life through a hotel communicating door only to find herself 20 years in the past. The play won Ayckbourn the Writers' Guild of Great Britain Best West End Play Award and the prestigious Molière Award in France. It was also nominated for an Olivier Award for Best Comedy.

Casting is still to be announced.
