Tony-winning Tina: The Tina Turner Musical star Adrienne Warren will honor the late icon with a concert evening with The New York Pops October 18 at Carnegie Hall. Warren was initially announced to join the Pops for the kick-off of their 40th anniversary season in 2022, but that evening was later canceled.
Warren is just one of several Broadway notables performing in the group's newly announced 2024-2025 season. Tony nominee Max von Essen (Anastasia, An American in Paris) will play a concert performance November 15, and Wicked star Jessica Vosk will be the group's special guest at the annual holiday concert, Merry and Bright, performing December 20 and 21.
Moving into 2025, the Pops will explore the songbook of Anything Goes and Kiss Me, Kate songwriter Cole Porter February 7. The evening will feature special guests Tony DeSare, Bria Skonberg, and John Manzari.
The ensemble will close out the season with 100 Years of Epic Film Scores May 14, 2025.
All concerts will feature the orchestral ensemble led by music director and conductor Steven Reineke.
Tickets, via Carnegie Hall subscriptions, are currently on sale. Single tickets will become available to subscribers beginning August 5, and to the general public August 12.
