News A Tale of Two Cities Musical to Open at London's Charing Cross Theatre in April A Tale of Two Cities, a new musical of Charles Dickens' novel, is to open at London's Charing Cross Theatre, beginning performances April 5 prior to an official opening April 17, for a run through May 12.

Featuring music by multi-platinum award winner David Pomeranz, a book by Emmy winner Steven David Horwich (who also wrote the lyrics) and David Soames, it features musical arrangements by John Cameron, orchestrator of the original production of Les Miserables.

It is directed by Paul Nicholas, and produced by PNPF Associates Ltd in assocation with Ovation.

Casting is still to be announced.

As an actor, Nicholas is best known for his TV role as Vince in "Just Good Friends," and stage roles include creating the role of Rum Tum Tugger in the original production of Cats. He also regularly produces and directs, including co-producing revivals of Grease and bringing Saturday Night Fever to the stage with David Ian.
