Named in honor of the late Princess Grace of Monaco, the foundation annually recognizes the achievement and potential in artists working in the fields of theatre, dance and choreography and film. In addition to the financial awards given to the individual artists, companies hosting an honoree will receive a General Operating Support grant, which help support general operating expenses for the institution.
As part of the 2011 event, director Jon M. Chu ("Justin Bieber: Never Say Never") and the director of "The League of Extraordinary Dancers," will receive the Princess Grace Statue Award. That recognition is presented annually to a previous Princes Grace Award winner who excels in their field.
